I recently had the opportunity to visit “Bałtyckie Rewizje Soniczne” — an inspiring exhibition dedicated to field recording and the practice of listening to the world around us. Through recordings, books, listening devices and archival materials, the exhibition explores different ways of documenting, experiencing and interpreting the sonic landscapes.

As part of the exhibition, I contributed a short reflection on acoustic ecology — a personal perspective on attentive listening and the fragile balance of the sound environments that surround us.

The exhibition programme will also include my listening session “Electromagnetic Sounds of Pomerania”, exploring the dialogue between biophony, anthropophony and geophony. In this work, electromagnetic sounds become an invisible layer connecting natural and human-made environments, revealing another dimension of the contemporary acoustic landscape.

The listening session will take place in August, on 7 or 14 August at Nadbałtyckie Centrum Kultury in Gdańsk (exact date to be confirmed). More details coming soon.
